Grandmaster SJ Kim’s 2009 Championship
On November 14, 2009, Grandmaster SJ Kim will host an intra-school championship at his dojang in New York City. All active Taekwon-Do International members are invited to compete.

Entry fees for 1, 2 or 3 events are:
$60 for all adults and children
$40 for all college and graduate students with valid student identification

Children’s competition begins at 1:30 pm
Adult’s competition begins at 3:30pm
Children will be provided with three boards for the breaking competition and adults and adolescents will be provided with five boards. Additional boards can be purchased. Please note that full protective gear is reequired for the free fighting competition. Competitors must bring their own protective gear.
WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND PARENTAL CONSENT
- In consideration of my entry or that of the minor child, I do hereby, for myself or the minor child, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive, discharge, covenant not to sue, and agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless any and all rights and claims for damages which I may have or may accrue to me against S.J. Kim’s Taekwon-Do, all members of this competition for any and all damages which may be sustained by me or the minor child, in returning from this competition. I understand that all fees are nonrefundable.
- I understand the nature of the competition and believe that my experience and capabilities, or that of the minor child, to be qualified to participate in this competition. I understand that Taekwon-do competition may involve risks and dangers of serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis and death. These risks and dangers may be caused by myself or the minor child’s own actions, or inactions, and/or the actions or inactions of others participating in the competition.
- I have read this agreement, fully understand its terms, understand that I or the minor child have given up sustantial rights by signing it and have signed it freely and without inducement or assurance of any nature and intend it to be a complete and conditional release of liability to the greatest extent allowed by the law and agree that if any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid that the remaining portion shall continue in full force and effect.
