TAEKWON-DO INTERNATIONAL PRESS RELEASE
Master John Meany, head instructor at S.J. Kim’s Taekwon-Do under Taekwon-Do International President Grandmaster Suk Jun Kim, and Master James Marr, owner of Glen Ridge Taekwon-do, were both recently promoted to the level of 6th Dan Black Belt.
In further news, Taekwon-Do International held their 6th Annual Conference June 4th and 5th at their New York City headquarters.
The session started Friday evening with a special black belt class, followed by an instructors’ seminar taught by Master Marr and special guest Master Oh from Pearl River, New York. Both drew on personal experience to detail the most effective ways to teach Taekwon-do to children, with emphasis on special needs kids.
Grandmaster Kim taught Taekwon-Do history, fundamentals and basics on Saturday, with an intense focus on patterns. Master Meany was named as Union Demonstrator, and acted in this capacity at the seminar.
